From the moment I stepped foot into Mrs. Patricia Scott's Classroom in 1993, I knew what I wanted to be, I knew what I would become; I wanted to become a Math Teacher.
She always had an elegance to her, not only in the way she moved, spoke, and even walked around that classroom, but in the way she taught Mathematics; I wanted that. Mrs. Scott, my 9th grade math teacher, started me on the path to my dreams. |
After Graduating from Coxsackie-Athens High School, I went on to study Mathematics at The College of Saint Rose. I also decided to take as many Secondary education classes as I could fit into my schedule. Another part of my college dream was to swim for the Golden Knights. I started out as a walk-on and continued to improve each year. By my Senior Year, I was Captain of that team!
Two months after graduating from the College of Saint Rose, I was interviewed and hired by Greenville Central School District. This was extremely exciting for me; I still find it exciting to think about that interview. Landing a teaching position at GCS is one of my greatest accomplishments and I am grateful for my position everyday! |
